I Gua (Trigrams)
The
formation of I Gua (Trigrams) is the resulted from the
combination of Yin yao (阴爻)
and Yang yao (阳爻),
each I Gua is represented by 3 yao. There are
total of 8 combinations which is named qian,
dui, li, zhen, xuan, kan, gen, and kun. They are
further divided into Yin Gua and Yang Gua. The
Yin Gua are xuan, li, kun and dui. The Yang Gua
are qian, kan, gen, and zhen.
